Privacy Policy

The short version

• There are no accounts, no logins and no contact forms.
• There is no newsletter, no comment section and no payment on this site.
• There is no advertising and no ad network tracking you here.
• The only data we collect is aggregate, anonymous traffic statistics - page views, rough location, device and referring site.

What is collected

The Blood of Dawnwalker Wiki uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. When you load a page, Google Analytics receives information such as the page you opened, how you reached it (search, a link or direct), your approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser and device type, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie.

That data is aggregated and reported to us as counts and percentages. We do not receive your name, your email address or any other information that identifies you personally, because we never ask for it. Google handles this data as a processor; see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Cookies

• Analytical cookies set by Google Analytics. They distinguish one visit from another so repeat views are not counted twice.
• No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by this site.
• No third-party embeds are loaded - there are no embedded video players, social widgets, comment systems or fonts loaded from an ad network.

Server logs

Like every website, the servers that host this site record incoming requests. Those logs contain IP addresses and can be kept by the hosting provider for a short period for security, abuse prevention and performance monitoring. We do not use them to build profiles.

How to opt out

• Enable the tracking-protection or "do not track" setting in your browser.
• Use the browser extension Google publishes to opt out of Analytics.
• Use an ad or script blocker - the site is fully readable without scripts.
• Block or clear cookies for this domain; nothing here depends on them.

Links to other sites

Pages here link out to Steam, SteamDB, Nexus Mods, the official game site and other resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies and are not covered by this one. Steam's privacy policy applies as soon as you follow a link to it.

Children

This site is a game reference and is not directed at children. There is nothing to sign up for, so no personal information is knowingly collected from anyone of any age.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts using a new analytics provider or adds a feature that collects something new, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change. The About page explains who runs the site and how to get in touch.
