Lacra is the only vrakhiri romance option in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and she is also entirely missable. You meet her by completing A Friend Like This in Svartrau, then immediately start Song of the Mountain when night falls, because that quest is time-sensitive. Two later steps, including the underground quest Hive and Seek, involve heavy combat.

This is the gate. If you never pick the quest up, Lacra does not exist in your playthrough. Expect a brief boss fight against her when you first meet.
Handle the Uriashi captive however you like
This decision feels consequential and is not. Any approach leaves the romance available.
Start Song of the Mountain as soon as night falls
This quest carries a clock marker, so treat it as urgent rather than as something to fit around other objectives. Postponing it is the most common way players describe losing this route.
Resolve the Uriashi village on your own terms
Going against Lacra's wishes and staying peaceful does not lock you out. The route survives either version.
Speak with the Uriashi elder, then descend with her
The elder conversation leads directly into the underground section, so this is a point of no return for your preparation.
Survive Hive and Seek
There is a lot of combat down there, and the dialogue choices in the quest do not affect the romance. Bring what you need to win fights rather than what you need to pass a speech check.
Why this route is worth the segments
Anca and Crake are both humans caught in the same story as Coen. Lacra is the only partner who belongs to the other half of his existence, and the game treats that difference as the point rather than as flavour. Two predators recognising each other is a different conversation from a mortal relationship, and it is the route that engages most directly with what the prologue does to Coen.
It is also the route that is easiest to lose. Everything else in the romance system is forgiving; this one has a hard prerequisite and a time-sensitive follow-up sitting right behind it.
Preparation notes
- Bank a segment before night. Song of the Mountain is time-sensitive, so arriving at nightfall with nothing left is the failure case.
- Prepare for a boss fight early. The first meeting with Lacra is a fight, not a conversation, and it happens before you know you are on a route.
- Stock for the underground section. Hive and Seek is the combat peak of the chain, and it punishes arriving light on potions.
Because the unlock quest is in Svartrau and the city only opens up through the main story, Lacra's route is structurally late. If you want it, plan the city phase around it rather than hoping to fit it in afterwards.
